We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our laboratory team as a Laboratory Document Review and Data Analytics Specialist. This role involves reviewing laboratory documentation for accuracy and completeness while also developing tracking systems and dashboards to monitor key performance metrics. The Laboratory Document Review and Data Analytics Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring data integrity, compliance, and process optimization within the laboratory environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Document Review and Quality Assurance:

• Review laboratory documents, including reports, protocols, procedures, and data records, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors in documentation and work collaboratively with laboratory personnel to address and rectify issues.
• Develop and implement document review protocols and procedures to maintain data integrity and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Data Tracking and Management:

• Design and develop tracking systems to monitor laboratory processes, workflow efficiency, and performance metrics.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources, including laboratory instruments, databases, and electronic records.
• Implement data management best practices to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security.

Dashboard Development and Reporting:

• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to laboratory operations.
• Customize dashboards to meet the specific needs of different stakeholders, including management, quality assurance teams, and laboratory personnel.
• Generate regular reports and summaries highlighting trends, patterns, and insights derived from laboratory data analysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with laboratory personnel, procurement teams, and vendors to ensure timely procurement of supplies and resolution of inventory-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to coordinate sample shipments, prioritize testing schedules, and address sample-related inquiries.
• Provide training and support to laboratory staff on inventory management procedures, sample handling techniques, and use of inventory tracking systems.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide customer requested information and communications.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in inventory and sample management workflows.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements, streamline operations, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to laboratory inventory and sample management.
• Balance project management time between flock, customer, and production testing and communication / escalate issues related to ability to complete assigned tasks within established timelines.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:Associate s degree (A.S.). or equivalent in scientific discipline, information technology, data science, or related field.
• Experience:1-2 years of experience in scientific discipline, information technology, data science, or related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; use hands and arms to reach. The employee frequently stands and walks; and sits at a microscope or computer.
