Job Summary:
The Unmanned Aircraft Avionics Teacher is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the School Director, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Primary Function: Ability to provide instruction, assessing and encouraging student progress. Ability to manage the learning environment, complying with state and district level regulations and policies.

Qualifications:
A valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
Science 6-12 Teaching
FAA Part 107 License Preferred
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

Provide content development
Assist all students in achieving academic standards and establishing high expectations for performance
Promote student engagement and provide appropriate assessments
Monitor student progress
Respond to adequate and inadequate student performance
Support students with encouragement
Use time efficiently
Maintain effective physical setting for instruction
Maintain appropriate student behavior in the classroom
Follow professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues
Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia, as established by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
Integrate the use of technology and multi-media in the classroom
Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
Participate in training programs and apply concepts learned in the classroom to increase student learning
Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities
Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures
Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies
Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee
