REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree
Valid Texas Teacher certificate (9-12) in area of assignment
PREFERRED:
Three (3) years teaching experience.
Masters in subject area or masters plus 18 graduate hours in subject area (able
to teach dual enrollment);
AVID training.
Core Training; and
Pre-AP and/or AP training in core area (Math, Science, Social Studies, and
English Language Arts).
Special Knowledge Skills:
Knowledge of all state and college testing requirements and standards;
Demonstrated success with improved student performance;
Ability to incorporate technology and media into instruction and student assignments;
Knowledge of dual enrollment;
Knowledge of the AVID program and its goals; and
