Position SummaryArthur Aviation is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Aviation Loader to support aerial application (crop dusting) operations. This role is responsible for accurately loading agricultural chemicals and materials into aircraft, supporting pilots and ground crews, and ensuring all operations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.This is a critical, hands-on position during peak growing seasons and is ideal for individuals with an interest in agriculture, aviation, and outdoor work.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely mix, load, and transfer crop protection products, fertilizers, and other approved materials into aircraftFollow all chemical label instructions, application requirements, and safety protocolsSupport pilots by ensuring aircraft are loaded accurately, efficiently, and on scheduleConduct basic inspections of loading equipment, pumps, hoses, and containment areasMaintain clean, organized, and compliant chemical handling and loading areasAccurately complete load sheets, chemical usage records, and required documentationAssist with receiving, staging, and inventorying agricultural chemicalsFollow all FAA, EPA, state, and company safety and environmental regulationsWear required PPE and promote a strong safety-first cultureAssist with general aviation facility and ground operations as neededOther duties as assigned to support aviation and agronomy operationsRequired QualificationsValid driver's license requiredAbility to obtain any required state applicator or handler certifications (company-supported)Basic understanding of farming, agronomy, or agricultural chemicals preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions preciselyAbility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak seasonDependable, safety-minded, and able to work well as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience handling agricultural chemicals or working in agronomy operationsFamiliarity with aviation environments or aerial application operationsForklift or equipment operation experienceBasic mechanical aptitudePhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periodsWork performed outdoors in varying weather conditionsExposure to noise, aviation fuels, dust, and agricultural chemicals (with PPE provided)Ability to work around aircraft, heavy equipment, and moving machinerySchedule & Employment DetailsSeasonal position, typically spring through summerNon-exempt (hourly, eligible for overtime) roleHours vary based on weather conditions, pilot schedules, and application demandAbout Arthur AviationArthur Aviation is part of The Arthur Companies, a diversified agricultural organization with a proud history dating back to 1906.
