Position Summary
Supervise, plan and coordinates the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and enhancement of airport operational technology (OT) systems and supporting infrastructure. Provides technical leadership for Aviation Department electronic, communications, security, and information systems, including wired and wireless networks, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, Physical Access control systems, video surveillance systems, public address systems, fire alarm interfaces, automated door systems, radio communications, and airport information display systems. Ensures compliance with applicable airport regulations, security requirements, industry standards, and operational objectives while overseeing technical staff, contractors, and system lifecycle management activities.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelors degree from accredited college or university in electronics engineering, information systems, or computer science; and
Three (3) year of experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or administration of operational technology systems, electronic systems, communication systems, security systems, or network infrastructures; and
To include two (2) years of supervisory experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Drivers License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operators Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
May be required to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions
Environmental:
Office field/airport environment; exposure to computer screens, electrical and radiant energy, low voltage, noise, dust, grease, fumes, moving objects, inclement weather conditions; work may be performed in confined spaces, slippery or uneven surfaces, on scaffolding and ladders; travel from site to site.
Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions may require indoor and outdoor environment; physical condition necessary for; moderate or light lifting; for walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping; kneeling crawling for prolonged periods of time.
