Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Aviation General Manager to oversee all aspects of the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, financial oversight, operational management, quality control, facility and staff management, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry partners. The role requires both hands-on aviation experience and executive leadership capabilities.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Maintenance Department team and drive strategic goals
  • Set and manage annual P&L budget; conduct regular audits and reviews
  • Run daily operational meetings, allocate tasks, and manage workload
  • Ensure Quality Control compliance for aircraft maintenance and billing
  • Oversee facility compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Manage staffing, training, certifications, and technician performance
  • Audit third-party maintenance providers and represent the company at industry events
  • Purchase and manage tooling, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 10+ years of aircraft maintenance experience; 5+ years in supervisory/management roles
  • Experience with business jets, Part 91/135 operations, and industry management companies (NetJets, FlexJet, FlyExclusive, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Part 121 operations and FAA regulations
  • Proficient in maintenance tracking and billing software (CAMP/Cescom, Traxxall, ATP, Corridor)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the owner’s mentality and high integrity
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mechanical duties on the production floor
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives
