At NBCP Communications Systems, your designs do not disappear into a drawing set. You will help turn real customer requirements into working AV, VTC and unified communications systems used in collaboration spaces, training environments, command-and-control facilities and secure communications environments nationwide.
This role is built for AV professionals who want more ownership, more technical range and a direct line between their decisions and the finished system. Your contribution will be visible, your expertise will matter, and strong performance creates room to advance.

What You Will Own
· Design complete professional AV, VTC and unified communications systems.
· Turn customer requirements into practical, buildable technical solutions.
· Develop BOMs, equipment lists, scopes of work, estimates and proposal documentation.
· Perform site surveys and identify infrastructure, installation and integration requirements.
· Produce or support signal-flow drawings, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, wall plates and installation details.
· Select and specify displays, projection, DSP, control, switching, conferencing, cameras, microphones and related AV technologies.
· Work directly with customers to explain designs, solve technical issues and refine requirements.
· Coordinate with sales, programmers, project managers and field teams from concept through final acceptance.
· Support installation, commissioning and closeout so the system delivered matches the system designed.
· Sales Engineer track: identify, develop and help close additional customer and project opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
You understand how AV systems actually work - not simply how to select products from a catalog.
· 3+ years of professional AV design, engineering, installation, commissioning or comparable technical experience.
· Strong understanding of AV signal flow, system architecture and troubleshooting logic.
· Working knowledge of audio DSP, control systems, AV-over-IP/networked AV, video distribution, conferencing and professional audio.
· Ability to create accurate equipment lists and technical documentation.
· Strong computer, organizational and communication skills.
· Confidence working directly and professionally with customers.
· High attention to detail and ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
· Valid driver's license.
· Ability to meet access/background requirements for work performed at military installations.
Experience That Gets Our Attention
· Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, Q-SYS or comparable professional AV platforms
· Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex and professional VTC systems
· AutoCAD, Visio or Revit
· AV-over-IP and networked audio/video
· Field installation, commissioning or service experience
· Government or Department of Defense AV environments
· AVIXA CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I
· Manufacturer certifications
· Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance

Flexibility, Travel & Compensation
· Based in San Antonio, Texas.
· Work-from-home flexibility up to approximately 30% of the workweek.
· Travel is generally less than 20% annually.
· Competitive base salary based on experience and demonstrated technical capability.
· Qualified Sales Engineers are eligible for significant commission-based earning opportunities in addition to base compensation.
