Position Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Application Support / Software Developer to support the Autotime system and related business applications.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving, troubleshooting, and resolving tickets through Service Central, with most of the work focused on application support.
  • The role will also involve developing fixes and enhancements as needed, particularly for business-critical issues.
  • The candidate will receive training on the system initially and will eventually participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical tickets and scheduled jobs outside of normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Autotime and Service Central tickets.
  • Investigate application issues, identify root causes, and develop appropriate fixes.
  • Support issues related to application pipelines and system integrations.
  • Perform software development and enhancements as required for business-critical tickets.
  • Support the Autotime timekeeping system, including its backend and frontend components.
  • Use Spring Boot to support and troubleshoot the Autotime backend.
  • Use Angular to support and troubleshoot the Autotime frontend.
  • Use Python for job scheduling and programs that interact with Autotime, including PTO, HR Feed, Payroll, Labor, and related processes.
  • Use SQL to query data, troubleshoot issues, and work with stored procedures in support of Service Central tickets.
  • Support applications and workloads running in OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Use Control-M for automated job management and scheduling.
  • Monitor and verify scheduled jobs to ensure they run successfully.
  • Work with the team to identify recurring issues and develop solutions to improve application stability and supportability.
  • Document troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and relevant technical information.
Technical Requirements
Candidates must have previous experience with Autotime and Service Central.
Required technical experience includes:
  • Autotime
  • Service Central
  • Spring Boot Timekeeping backend
  • Angular Timekeeping frontend
  • Python Job scheduling and integration programs
  • SQL Queries and stored procedures
  • OpenShift / Kubernetes
  • Control-M Automated job management
Scheduled Job Support
The client currently has scheduled jobs that run:
  • Sunday at 6:00 PM EST
  • Monday at 2:00 AM EST
The selected candidate may be responsible for checking and verifying that these jobs have completed successfully. This responsibility will also be handled through a rotation once the schedule is established.

On-Call Requirements
  • The position will begin with training to ensure the candidate is familiar with the system and support processes.
  • After training, the candidate will participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical tickets.
  • On-call support may occasionally be required after hours and on weekends.
  • The team is currently developing the formal rotation. The initial plan is expected to include:
    • One week as primary on-call
    • One week as backup
    • At least one week off-call before returning to the rotation
  • The final on-call schedule is still TBD.
