Level 3 Vehicle Operator – Autonomous Vehicles

Priority Hiring: Overnight Shifts - Start November 16!
An autonomous mobility company, to hire dependable and safety-focused Level 3 Vehicle Operators in San Francisco. In this hands-on role, you'll help support autonomous vehicle testing, ensure vehicles are safe and mission-ready, and provide feedback that helps improve self-driving technology.
We are currently prioritizing candidates for these overnight schedules:
- Wednesday–Sunday | 11:45 PM–8:15 AM
- Friday–Tuesday | 11:45 PM–8:15 AM
What You'll Do:
- Safely operate test vehicles for approximately 4–8 hours per shift.
- Support autonomous vehicle testing and field missions.
- Complete basic vehicle, software, and operational checks.
- Monitor testing activities and document performance, observations, and issues.
- Provide clear written and verbal feedback to engineering and operations teams.
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness, readiness, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Assist with vehicle logistics, equipment movement, and other operational tasks.
- Follow established safety procedures and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- A strong safety mindset and excellent driving history.
- A valid California driver's license with at least 3 consecutive years of licensure.
- Comfort driving for extended periods and maintaining focus during overnight shifts.
- Basic technology skills and the ability to learn new software and tools.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Reliability, attention to detail, adaptability, and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review.
- Ability to meet the required typing assessment.
Pay & Shift Bonuses:
- Base pay: $29.00/hour
- Overnight shift differential: 7.5% extra per hour on weekdays and 10% extra per hour on weekends.
- Weekend and overnight premiums apply according to the assigned shift and eligible hours.
