Job Description
Were looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to help build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical hardware used in autonomous vehicle development.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electronic hardware and prototypes
- Read schematics, drawings, and technical instructions
- Solder, crimp, install wiring, and assemble components
- Use hand tools, torque tools, and electronic test equipment
- Inspect completed work for quality
- Troubleshoot assembly and hardware issues
- Assist engineers with prototype builds and new product development
- Keep accurate records and maintain a clean, safe work area
Requirements
- 4–6 years of electro-mechanical/electronics assembly experience preferred
- Strong electronics assembly skills
- Able to read schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, and assembly tools
- Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other lab equipment
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Trade school or technical training is acceptable; Bachelor’s degree is not required if experience is strong
Preferred: IPC-610/620 certification, J-STD experience, SAP/Oracle, PLM/3DX, Python, or startup/prototype manufacturing experience.
