The Opportunity

Join a growing automotive recycling team in a hands-on role working with vehicles, tools, and equipment. Automotive experience is helpful but not required--we're willing to train the right candidate.


You'll help process vehicles and prepare them for placement in our self-service yard while following safety, environmental, and operational procedures.


Compensation & Benefits

            $17.00 per hour

Location: Stockton, CA

Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Reports To: Site Manager


Key Responsibilities

            Prepare vehicles for safe placement in the customer yard.

            Drain, collect, and properly store vehicle fluids.

            Remove batteries, mercury-containing components, refrigerants, and other regulated materials.

            Remove tires and identify quality tires and wheel/tire sets for potential retail sale.

            Remove trash, debris, and non-sellable materials from vehicles.

            Label and identify vehicles according to established procedures.

            Separate recyclable materials from items designated for disposal.

            Prepare and maintain vehicle rows for safe customer access.

            Use appropriate hand and automotive tools to remove parts, cores, metals, and other materials.

            Operate a forklift as needed to safely position vehicles.

            Maintain tools and equipment and report damaged or missing items.

            Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental requirements.

            Keep work areas, equipment, and yard rows clean and organized.

            Work effectively with the team to meet daily production and operational goals.

            Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

            Automotive or production experience preferred, but not required.

            Interest in vehicles, mechanical work, or hands-on production.

            Ability to learn and follow established procedures.

            Dependable attendance and punctuality.

            Strong communication and teamwork skills.

            Ability to work safely in a physically active environment.

            Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

            Ability to handle workplace pressure and changing priorities.
