Description

Secor's Volvo in New London is urgently seeking multiple automotive technicians.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record & background check.
  • Technical degree preferred but not required.
  • ASE certifications preferred but not required.
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic/ working on cars.  
  • Knows how to use shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc. 
  • Effective analytical and communication skills.
  • Good reading, computer, and mathematics.
  • Positive attitude, team oriented, strong work ethic and good references, and flexibility. 

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs including but not limited to oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other parts.
  • Diagnose and estimates on vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
  • Test functionality of parts and systems with efficiency in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Help keep repair shop clean and organized while maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Customer – centric approach with a genuine desire to exceed expectations.
