Automotive Technician

At Classic Ford - Smithfield, we are seeking skilled Automotive Technicians to join our team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a reputable company, providing a range of automotive services while enhancing your technical expertise and contributing to exceptional customer experiences. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $50.00 per hour and is paid semi-monthly. We have a state-of-the-art facility, temperature controlled and all of the latest tools and equipment and a well-stocked parts department.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using industry-standard diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with service advisors to accurately assess customer concerns and provide clear explanations of necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records following company guidelines.
• Stay current with manufacturer updates, technical bulletins, and training to maintain certification and improve skills.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and support a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology preferred.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with proficiency in using repair and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and maintain up-to-date industry certifications.
