Automotive Technician

Toy Auto Clinic is a fast paced automotive repair shop looking for a skilled automotive mechanic/technician to help us maintain, service, and repair vehicles. We specialize in Toyota, Lexus, and Scions. We are looking for a team player with good communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems and perform routine services efficiently with minimal comebacks.

Applicants must able to:

Have knowledge of diagnostic methods

Inspect vehicle mechanical and electrical components to prevent future breakdowns or problems

Perform routine maintenance work (e.g. minor and major services, replace fluids, brake jobs, etc.) 

Repair or replace dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. rebuild starters, replace alternators)

Be dependable, reliable, punctual, and work independently 

Keep their work area clean and properly maintain tools and equipment.

Use/handle/operate various tools and heavy equipment.

Willingly follow all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids and chemicals. 

Lift over 50lbs

Use Alldata, Mitchell1 or Toyota Information System aka TIS

Must provide or have:

Valid driver’s license with a reputable driving record 

Proven experience as auto mechanic (dealership employment is a plus)

Have their own set of tools and equipment 

No criminal record 

Preferred and definitely a plus:

High school diploma or GED

Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship

Valid certifications e.g. ASE, dealership certifications
