Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues, including powertrain, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and installations.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex automotive problems.
- Conduct alignment services and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate auto estimating for repairs and parts needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, including diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working with GM vehicles is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Welding skills are a bonus for specialized repairs.
