Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman - Up to $106,000+ & NO WEEKENDS!

Location: Monroe, Georgia
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $34–$50 per flagged hour
Pay Type: Hybrid Pay Plan (Flat Rate + Production Incentives + Weekly Guarantee)
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
Earning Potential: Up to approximately $106,000 annually
Typical Flagged Hours: 40+ flagged hours per week

Who are we looking for? 

We are seeking an experienced Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman to join a growing independent automotive repair facility in Monroe, Georgia. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys mentoring others while continuing to produce quality repairs. You'll work in a modern facility equipped with industry-leading technology, backed by an established customer base and a business with significant room for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support technicians while helping maintain a productive, collaborative shop environment.
  • Perform automotive diagnostics for Check Engine Light concerns and general repair work.
  • Complete engine and transmission removal and replacement procedures.
  • Perform timing belt, timing chain, and water pump repairs.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship while completing repairs efficiently.
  • Utilize Tekmetric, ALLDATA, Identifix, and diagnostic equipment to support repair accuracy.
  • Help uphold quality standards and contribute to continuous shop improvement.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of professional automotive repair shop experience required
  • Previous experience in an independent repair facility or dealership environment.
  • ASE Certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Experience performing engine and transmission replacement, timing belt/chain, and general mechanical repairs.
  • Comfortable using automotive diagnostic equipment and repair information systems.
  • Experience with Tekmetric, ALLDATA, Identifix, or similar shop management and service information platforms is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support other technicians.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hybrid pay plan with flat-rate compensation of $34–$50 per flagged hourdepending on Experience
