We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our unique facility that blends the structure of a franchise-style used vehicle operation with the creativity and challenge of a performance and specialty shop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys real mechanical work, advanced diagnostics, and variety-without being stuck doing repetitive maintenance all day. You'll support our used vehicle department while also having opportunities to work around performance builds, specialty vehicles, and enthusiast platforms.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: $25-$35 per team flat rate hour with efficiency average of 120%. Pay depending on experience.

• Generous PTO: We prioritize work-life balance, offering industry-leading PTO. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform engine replacements and major mechanical repairs.
• Transmission removal and replacement (R&R).
• Complete used vehicle inspections and recon work.
• Installing camshafts on multiple engine platforms.
• Installing and wiring fuel injection systems on classic cars.
• Supercharger installations on modern platforms.
• Diagnose drivability and complex mechanical issues.
• Perform repairs efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with the parts department to source needed components.
• Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
• Identify additional safety or service needs and communicate with service advisors.
• Road test vehicles when required.
• Save and tag warranty or customer-requested parts.
• Stay current with manufacturer technical bulletins and training.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, hazardous waste, and all federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive repair experience required.
• Strong background in heavy mechanical work.
• Comfortable with engines, transmissions, and major repairs.
• Solid diagnostic and drivability troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented with vehicle inspections.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend repair instructions and technical information.
• Ability to use computer hardware and software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid drivers license and insurable under company insurance.
