As an Automotive Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our customers' vehicles. You diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, from routine maintenance to complex engine problems. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnoses complex vehicle issues accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Performs comprehensive preventative maintenance services to ensure vehicle longevity and safety.
- Repairs and replaces components of brake systems, ensuring optimal stopping performance.
- Troubleshoots and resolves electrical system malfunctions, including wiring, sensors, and computer components.
- Executes engine repairs, from minor adjustments to major overhauls, restoring vehicle power and efficiency.
- Services and repairs suspension and steering systems, enhancing vehicle handling and ride comfort.
- Manages fluid system maintenance, including oil changes, transmission fluid, and coolant flushes.
- Utilizes On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) systems to identify and address vehicle issues efficiently.
- Operates a wide range of automotive tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintains and repairs vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Communicates effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations.
- Adheres to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
- Demonstrates experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Knowledge/Skills
- Applies advanced diagnostic techniques for vehicle systems.
- Understands and executes comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules.
- Possesses expertise in brake system repair and replacement.
- Demonstrates proficiency in electrical system diagnosis and repair.
- Performs skilled engine repair and rebuilding.
- Manages suspension and steering system service and repair.
- Maintains all vehicle fluid systems.
- Utilizes On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) for accurate issue identification.
- Operates and maintains a full range of automotive tools and equipment.
- Services and repairs vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communicates technical information clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Holds ASE certifications (e.g., A1-A8, L1).
- Completes relevant manufacturer-specific training programs.
- Possesses an Associate's degree or technical certification in Automotive Technology.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Performs tasks requiring standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods.
- Works in environments that may include exposure to noise, fumes, extreme temperatures, and hazardous materials.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
