Job Responsibilities:
Performs comprehensive vehicle inspections, including Virginia State Safety Inspections, ensuring full compliance with state regulations.
Diagnoses complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on gasoline and diesel vehicles.
Utilizes advanced diagnostic tools, scan data, and testing procedures to accurately identify root causes.
Performs repairs across multiple systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and emissions.
Completes detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with clear documentation, photos, and recommendations.
Collaborates with service advisors to communicate findings and support proper estimate building.
Conducts test drives to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
Maintains clean, organized work area and follows shop safety procedures.
Keeps up to date with industry advancements, tools, and diagnostic strategies.
Takes ownership of work quality and efficiency, ensuring jobs are completed correctly the first time.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Virginia State Safety Inspector License (not Required).
