As an Automotive Technician (B & C Level), you play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our customers' vehicles. You diagnose complex issues, perform essential repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and our reputation for excellence. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive Automotive Repair on various vehicle systems, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Executes thorough Preventive Maintenance services, including fluid checks, filter replacements, and system inspections, to extend vehicle life and prevent future issues.
- Utilizes advanced Diagnostic Tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and performance problems.
- Repairs and replaces components within Brake System Repair, ensuring optimal stopping power and safety.
- Diagnoses and corrects issues related to Suspension System Repair, restoring vehicle handling and ride comfort.
- Conducts detailed Electrical System Diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve wiring, sensor, and component malfunctions.
- Performs in-depth Engine Diagnostics to identify and rectify performance issues, warning lights, and drivability concerns.
- Completes routine Oil Changes and other basic service tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Provides a full range of Tire Services, including mounting, balancing, rotation, and flat repair.
- Adheres strictly to all Shop Safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicates effectively with service advisors regarding diagnostic findings and recommended repairs.
- Documents all services performed and parts used accurately in the repair order system.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Possesses a high school diploma or GED.
- Completes vocational training or technical certification in automotive repair.
Experience
- Gains relevant experience as an Automotive Technician at a B or C level.
- Works with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Knowledge/Skills
- Applies a strong understanding of Automotive Repair principles and practices.
- Demonstrates proficiency in performing Preventive Maintenance tasks.
- Operates and interprets results from Diagnostic Tools effectively.
- Possesses expertise in Brake System Repair and component replacement.
- Performs accurate Suspension System Repair and alignment.
- Conducts precise Electrical System Diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Executes thorough Engine Diagnostics to identify root causes of issues.
- Completes efficient Oil Changes and fluid services.
- Provides comprehensive Tire Services, including repair and replacement.
- Adheres to all Shop Safety standards and procedures.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Maintains a keen attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Holds current ASE Certifications (e.g., Brakes, Suspension & Steering, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Repair).
- Possesses experience with specific manufacturer diagnostic software.
- Maintains a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Lifts and moves heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, regularly.
- Stands, walks, bends, stoops, kneels, and crawls for extended periods.
- Works in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Utilizes hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Possesses good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity.
