Pitre Kia is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Candidates with dealership experience, expertise in automotive electrical systems, transmissions, and familiarity with ADAS technology are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive schematics and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines as needed.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, alignment services, and system inspections.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools efficiently and safely.
- Repair or replace vehicle components such as belts, hoses, sensors, and other mechanical or electrical parts.
- Conduct ADAS calibrations and ensure proper functioning of advanced driver-assistance systems.
- Assist with auto estimating and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations professionally.
Qualifications
- ASE certification
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic; dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, automotive diagnostics software, and service manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license
