Introduction

We are seeking an experienced A Level or B+ Automotive Technician in Southgate, MI with strong diagnostic skills and at least 5 years of professional automotive repair experience. This full-time opportunity offers $35-$50 per flat-rate hour, a $600 weekly guarantee, and the potential to earn well over $100,000 annually. You'll work in a fast-paced, professional environment with modern diagnostic equipment, training opportunities, and a team that supports continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

A Level Technician Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns, including check engine light and engine-related issues.
• Use Autel, Snap-on, and Launch scan tools to troubleshoot vehicle concerns and determine appropriate repairs.
• Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and European makes and models while maintaining quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and communicate findings with the Service Advisor.

B+ Level Technician Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle concerns across domestic, Asian, and European makes and models within your demonstrated skill set.
• Use Autel, Snap-on, and Launch scan tools for diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.
• Complete quality repairs efficiently while continuing to strengthen advanced diagnostic capabilities.
• Perform digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and participate in available training to develop toward A-Level capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience required.
• Strong automotive diagnostic skills required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of domestic, Asian, and European makes and models.
• Michigan State Mechanics Certificate(s) required.
• Comfortable using modern shop technology and diagnostic equipment.
• ASE certifications are a plus but are not required.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
