Location: Plymouth, MI
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $35-$50 per flagged hour, based on experience
Pay Type: Flat rate with weekly guarantee
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Earning Potential: Potential to earn well over $100,000 annually

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced A Level or B+ Automotive Technician in Plymouth, Michigan, with 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience. This position offers $35-$50 per flagged hour with a $600 weekly guarantee and the potential to earn well over $100,000 annually. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative repair environment with modern diagnostic equipment, training, and opportunities to continue developing your technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

A Level Technician Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex drivability, check-engine-light, engine, electrical, and vehicle performance concerns across domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
  • Use Autel, Snap-on, and Launch scan tools to identify faults and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and clearly document findings.
  • Work with the Service Advisor to communicate diagnostic findings and repair needs.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient service bay while balancing productivity with repair quality.

B+ Level Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform automotive repairs independently across a variety of makes and models.
  • Diagnose vehicle concerns within your current skill level and continue developing advanced diagnostic capabilities.
  • Use Autel, Snap-on, and Launch scan tools to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair work.
  • Conduct digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and document vehicle conditions and recommendations.
  • Work closely with experienced technicians and the Service Advisor to support efficient workflow and accurate repairs.
  • Build toward A-Level diagnostic capability through hands-on experience, training, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience required.
  • Diagnostic skills required.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of makes and models.
  • Comfortable using modern automotive diagnostic equipment and shop technology.
  • ASE certifications are welcome but are not required.
  • Michigan State Repair License required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining speed, accuracy, organization, and repair quality.
