Description

Quality Car Care is a well-established general automotive repair shop with nearly 50 years in business. We are looking for a dependable, experienced automotive technician who also has strong customer service and computer skills.

This is a hands-on hybrid position. The successful candidate will spend part of the day performing general automotive repairs and maintenance and part of the day assisting customers, preparing repair orders and estimates, and working with our shop management software.

We are looking for a well-rounded automotive professional who enjoys working on vehicles, communicating with customers, and being part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Perform oil changes and routine maintenance services
  • Peform brake, suspension, cooling system, and other general repairs
  • Assist with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs
  • Prepare and update repair orders and estimates
  • Communicate with customers regarding vehicle concerns and recommended services
  • Assist service writers with customer service and daily workflow
  • Answer phones and assist customer service and daily workflow
  • Answer phones and assist customers when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work as part of a team to keep the shop operating efficiently

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience preferred
  • Solid knowledge of general automotive repair and maintenance
  • Ability to perform common repairs with limited supervision
  • Good mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers and learning automotive shop management software
  • Prefious service writer or cusotmer service experience is a plus
  • Own tools
  • Valid drivers license
  • California Smog Inspector and/or Repair License is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to perform all aspects of shop work, including routine maintenance and oil changes

This position requires someone who is comfortable both working on vehicles and working with customers. It is not an office-only service writer position.
