    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    Leadership and Team Development

    • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, and retain qualified employees

    • Lead automotive technicians, general service technicians, and service advisors

    • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable

    • Coach and evaluate employees to improve performance and productivity

    • Conduct team meetings and communicate daily priorities

    • Build a respectful, collaborative, and results-driven workplace

    • Maintain accurate payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling records

    Customer Service and Sales

    • Deliver an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pickup

    • Listen carefully and consult with customers about their vehicle concerns

    • Ensure inspections and repair recommendations are accurate and documented

    • Present service recommendations, repair options, and pricing clearly

    • Obtain proper customer authorization before beginning repairs

    • Keep customers informed about repair progress and completion times

    • Follow up on recommended and previously declined services

    • Promote applicable maintenance services and shop specials

    • Resolve customer concerns promptly, fairly, and professionally

    • Build customer loyalty, retention, and repeat business

    Store Operations and Profitability

    • Take ownership of sales, expenses, profitability, and P&L performance

    • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals

    • Develop strategies to increase legitimate sales and grow the customer base

    • Manage shop workflow and assign work according to technician skills

    • Monitor technician productivity, repair quality, and on-time completion

    • Oversee inspections, diagnostics, and repairs for domestic, European, and Asian vehicles

    • Manage parts sourcing and maintain productive vendor relationships

    • Oversee sales, accounting, cash-handling, and clerical functions

    • Maintain accurate inventory counts and control inventory costs

    • Take responsibility for preventing avoidable inventory losses

    • Prepare and submit accurate daily sales reports

    • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready facility

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and all safety and environmental requirements

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of five years of automotive store or service-management experience

    • Previous supervisory, management, coaching, or mentoring experience

    • Strong automotive repair and maintenance knowledge

    • Experience managing sales, labor, expenses, workflow, inventory, and P&L performance

    • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and profitability objectives

    • Exceptional customer-service and relationship-building skills

    • Strong leadership, team-building, and employee-development abilities

    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    • Confidence making decisions and holding employees accountable

    • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, repair-order software, computers, and internet applications

    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership

    • College degree or related coursework is preferred

    • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

    • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays when required
