About Turbo Tim's
Turbo Tim's is seeking an Automotive Shop Manager in Mounds View, Minnesota.
This position leads daily automotive repair shop operations, customer experience, workflow, financial performance, and employee development. You'll work alongside Service Advisors, Automotive Technicians, Parts personnel, and shop leadership to improve performance and support a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily automotive repair shop operations, coordinating with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts personnel, and shop leadership.
Coach, train, and develop employees while establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.
Oversee repair scheduling, workflow, technician productivity, and customer service.
Monitor shop performance metrics, including gross profit, car count, billed hours, labor efficiency, and sales.
Resolve escalated customer concerns and support a positive customer experience.
Identify and implement improvements to shop processes, operational efficiency, and team performance.
Support employee recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
Collaborate with leadership to share best practices and improve performance across locations.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of relevant automotive shop management experience.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair shop operations, service processes, and workflow management.
Experience managing financial and operational performance metrics, including labor efficiency, sales, and gross profit.
Demonstrated ability to coach, engage, and develop automotive service teams.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using automotive shop management software and operational tools.
Compensation & Benefits
Earning Potential: Up to $120,000+, with the opportunity to exceed $120,000 based on experience and achievement of performance goals.
Performance-Based Compensation: Performance goals are calculated biweekly against forecasted location gross profit, car count, billed hours, and all-store gross profit.
Health Insurance: Company covers 50% of the premium after 90 days.
Retirement Plan: 401(k) with a 3% company contribution after 12 months.
Paid Time Off: 48 hours during the first year and 80 hours during the second year.
Paid Holidays: Five paid holidays.
