A well-established domestic dealership in the greater Winston-Salem / Mt. Airy area is seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to help lead daily shop operations, support technicians with diagnostics and complex repairs, maintain efficient workflow, and ensure vehicles are repaired correctly and on time.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician or current Shop Foreman who is ready to take on a key leadership role in a busy dealership service department. You’ll work closely with technicians, service advisors, and management while helping keep the shop productive, organized, and focused on quality.

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily shop workflow and help distribute work efficiently
- Assist technicians with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex repairs
- Provide technical guidance and support to the service team
- Help ensure repairs are completed correctly and efficiently
- Monitor technician productivity, workmanship, and repair quality
- Perform quality control inspections when needed
- Work closely with service advisors and management to keep repairs moving
- Help resolve technical concerns and difficult repair issues
- Support technician training and development
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional shop environment
- Help promote a positive, team-focused culture within the Service Department
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of automotive repair experience required
- Previous Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, Team Leader, or similar leadership experience preferred
- Experience with domestic brands such as Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, Ford, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram / Stellantis is preferred but not required
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to assist with complex mechanical and drivability concerns
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, advisors, and management
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
