Automotive Service Technician

Automotive Mechanic – Straight Time – $35–43/hr – Syracuse, NY

Rockstar Recruiting Group is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic for a full-time opportunity with a reputable transportation company based in Syracuse, NY. This is a straight time position – no flat rate – offering steady hours, consistent work, and a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of gasoline-powered vans and small buses
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Complete vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road readiness
• Service and maintain wheelchair-accessible vehicles (experience with mobility equipment is an asset)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $30–43/hr (based on experience and qualifications)
• Straight time pay – no flat rate
• Full-time hours with a consistent workload

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, with strong knowledge of gasoline engine systems
• Comfortable working on vans, buses, and mobility-equipped vehicles
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus but not mandatory)
