Automotive Service Technician

Village Pointe Toyota – Omaha, Nebraska

Village Pointe Toyota is looking for skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technicians to join our growing Service Department.

Toyota experience is preferred but is not required. Technicians with experience from other manufacturers or independent repair facilities are encouraged to apply.

Position Responsibilities

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will:

• Diagnose and repair customer vehicles accurately and efficiently

• Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs according to manufacturer specifications

• Diagnose electrical, drivability, engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and other vehicle systems

• Perform recalls and warranty repairs in accordance with Toyota procedures

• Complete Multi-Point Inspections on assigned vehicles

• Identify needed maintenance and safety-related repairs

• Clearly document inspection findings, diagnoses, and completed repairs

• Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Advisor

• Utilize Toyota diagnostic equipment, technical information, and repair procedures

• Verify repairs and perform quality-control checks

• Maintain an organized and professional work area

• Properly care for customer vehicles while they are in the dealership

• Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures

• Complete required Toyota and dealership training

• Work effectively with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, and other technicians

• Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the dealership

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience

• Toyota or other manufacturer dealership experience preferred

• ASE certifications preferred

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities

• Electrical diagnostic experience is a plus

• Ability to accurately diagnose and repair modern vehicle systems

• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment and service information

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and time-management skills

• Dependable and professional

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

• Must have or be willing to obtain appropriate tools for the position

• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment requirements
