As an Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and dealership quality expectations. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
 
 
JOB TITLE:              Automotive Service Technician
REPORTS TO:         Service Manager
LOCATION:              Cincinnati, OH - Kings Auto Mall              
 
A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using dealership diagnostic tools and software
  • Complete routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, multi-point inspections, etc.)
  • Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership repair processes
  • Document work performed accurately on repair orders
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to the Service Advisor
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology
  • Comply with all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and dealership policies
 
WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Automotive Technical School certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician (dealership experience a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ASE certification(s) preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • OEM certification a plus (if applicable)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools
  • Working knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment
