Job Title: Automotive Technician

Position Summary
Charlie’s CDJR is seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram models. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, etc.)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues using advanced diagnostic tools
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer standards
- Conduct multi-point inspections and identify additional service needs
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all work performed
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations
- Stay up to date with manufacturer training and certifications
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school training preferred)
- ASE certification(s) strongly preferred
- Previous experience as an automotive technician (dealership experience a plus)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with automotive tools and equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CDJR vehicles and systems
- Familiarity with dealership service software
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive motions and work in various positions (bending, kneeling, reaching)
