Midas Auto Service Experts is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor Manager to oversee front-counter operations, lead the service team, increase sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

  • Welcome customers and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns

  • Deliver honest, professional, and exceptional customer service

  • Explain inspection findings and recommended services clearly

  • Present necessary repairs and preventive maintenance confidently

  • Prepare accurate estimates and computerized repair orders

  • Obtain customer authorization before beginning repairs

  • Keep customers informed about pricing, repair progress, and completion times

  • Follow up on recommended and previously declined services

  • Promote applicable maintenance services and shop specials

  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally

  • Build customer loyalty, retention, and repeat business

Team Leadership and Shop Operations

  • Lead and direct automotive technicians and general service technicians

  • Coordinate daily workflow and assign work based on technician skills

  • Monitor repair progress, quality, and on-time completion

  • Set daily priorities and communicate expectations clearly

  • Coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable

  • Maintain employee schedules, payroll records, and hours worked

  • Help create a professional, respectful, and productive workplace

  • Maintain high standards for customer service and repair quality

Business and Inventory Management

  • Support store sales and profitability objectives

  • Oversee service-advisor sales, accounting, and clerical functions

  • Source parts and maintain strong vendor relationships

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts

  • Control inventory levels, costs, and preventable losses

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations

  • Maintain environmental compliance and proper shop procedures

  • Keep the facility clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of automotive retail, repair, or service-management experience

  • Previous supervisory, management, or team-leadership experience

  • General automotive repair and maintenance knowledge

  • Proven sales ability and confidence presenting service recommendations

  • Excellent customer-service and relationship-building skills

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities

  • Excellent communication and vendor-management skills

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, repair-order software, computers, and related technology

  • Entrepreneurial attitude with a strong sense of ownership

  • Ability to succeed in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays when required
