Automotive Service Director / Service Manager
H&K Chevrolet of New Haven is seeking an experienced, high-integrity Service Manager to oversee our complete fixed operations, including Parts, Service, and Body Shop departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Oversight: Manage daily operations, workflow, and profitability across the Parts, Service, and Body Shop teams.
  • Staffing & Leadership: Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of advisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Compliance & Training: Ensure all staff members complete and maintain required Chevrolet manufacturer and dealership training certifications.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain H&K's reputation for excellence by resolving customer issues with empathy and fairness.
  • Efficiency & Safety: Optimize shop production, monitor equipment maintenance, and strictly enforce a safe, professional, and drama-free workspace.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of success as an Automotive Service Manager or Director.
  • Deep knowledge of service department KPIs, parts inventory controls, and collision center workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with Chevrolet or General Motors (GM) warranty policies and training platforms is highly preferred.
  • Leadership style rooted in honesty, clear communication, and mutual respect.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
