Automotive Service General Line Technician

Rob Sight Ford in Kansas City, MO is looking for a Ford Certified General Line Service Technician to join a shop with a history over 100 years. What You'll Do

• Perform general and light line repair work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to evaluate components and systems
• Communicate with the Service Advisor on additional service needs and provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs
• Execute warranty repairs in compliance with Ford manufacturer specifications
• Inspect vehicles and document findings accurately on repair orders

What We're Looking For

• Ford certification required
• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred
• B-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
• Prior experience at a Ford dealership preferred
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Strong hand-eye coordination and the dexterity required for precision repair work
• Basic computer competency and ability to learn new repair procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
