Bettenhausen Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram is looking for a service dispatcher to join our growing team in Lockport, IL. JOB DESCRIPTION:The dispatcher/shop manager must be able to organize, lead, and control the flow of work through the service department in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs at a fair cost to the customer. We are looking for someone dedicated to a job well done/ fixed first visit and a willingness to go above and beyond for our customers and team.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with service team to maintain customer satisfaction ratingEnsure all documents necessary for technicians are readily available and accounted forWork to accomplish forecasted goals that have been established by service managementMaximize tech hours through fair dispatching practices and monitoring individual tech hours dailyProperly assign jobs based on technician level (to meet warranty standards)Monitor technician staff to ensure efficient and safe work practicesCheck job status as often as necessary, at least two times per shift, and report to advisor any change in time promisedOpen and close repair orders as needed including managing Prep RO's, UCI's and CPOV'sHandle routine complaints presented by staff and/or customersEnsure technicians follow warranty material disposition proceduresSpot check RO's turned in by technicians to ensure the assigned work has been performedMonitor and mentor all levels of technicians (lube tech, apprentice, master tech) gain feedback, document, and discuss with service management to promote team improvementSpot check repairs to ensure quality and timely completionMain a high level of organization and cleanliness in shop, storage/tool room and service lotMaintain and manage special tool inventoryOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:At least 2 years of service dispatch experience or3+ years' experience as a service advisor at a dealershipTechnical automotive knowledgeDemonstrated ability to manage othersOrganized and friendly personalityAutomotive Dealership experience requiredWill need availability to work one evening per week and rotating Saturdays (1-2 per month)Salary dependent upon experienceBENEFITS:Health and DentalVisionShort Term DisabilityLife InsuranceAccident, Critical Illness, Cancer, and Hospital Insurance401K PlanPTOEmployee Assistance ProgramFree College Program through our partnership with Strayer University
