About the Role:
Jenkins Car Care in Cedar Hill, TN is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor Assistant to join our team! This is a front-counter position with a real path into service advising. You'll keep the front of the shop running smoothly and also write and sell your own repair orders. You're paid hourly for everything you do, plus commission and bonuses on the work you sell.
Compensation:
* $20.00/hour for all hours worked, paid weekly
* Monthly commission on the gross profit of the repair orders you sell
* Up to $300/month in performance bonuses for average repair order, effective labor rate, and 5-star Google reviews
Responsibilities:
* Answer phones, schedule service appointments, and return customer calls
* Greet customers, check in vehicles, and document vehicle concerns and service requests
* Build and present estimates, send digital vehicle inspections, and sell repair orders under your own name
* Communicate repair status updates to customers in a timely and professional manner
* Help coordinate workflow between the service desk and technicians
* Process repair orders, invoices, and payments accurately
* Move, park, and stage customer vehicles; shuttle customers and run parts
* Handle key drop-off and pickup, including our after-hours lockbox
* Keep the lobby, front office, and service drive clean and welcoming
* Handle closing duties: secure customer vehicles, take out the front trash, and power down equipment
Requirements:
* Previous experience in automotive, customer service, or sales preferred
* Strong communication skills with a customer-first attitude
* Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair terminology
* Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy service environment
* Comfortable with computers; Tekmetric or other shop software experience is a plus
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Able to work Monday–Friday 8-00 AM–5:00 PM
