Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Variable schedule, 10-hour workdays, approximately 42 hours per week
Pay Rate: $18/hour base
Pay Type: Hourly base plus commission

About Meineke Car Care Center – Location #2

Meineke Car Care Center – Location #2 is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor in Austin, TX. This position offers an $18/hour base plus commission, with $50,000+ annual earning potential based on productivity and shop performance. The shop is looking for an advisor who can confidently present repair recommendations, build customer trust, and help drive sales and Gross Profit while keeping workflow organized. Training, paid holidays, company-provided uniforms, and a schedule designed with work/life balance in mind are included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write accurate repair estimates and clearly present repair and maintenance recommendations to customers.
  • Sell recommended automotive services while maintaining customer trust, honesty, and professional communication.
  • Schedule appointments and repairs, manage daily shop workflow, and coordinate effectively with technicians.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and monitor repair progress.
  • Order parts and manage parts cores, returns, defective parts, and inventory control.
  • Work toward monthly sales goals and a target Average Repair Order (ARO) of $550–$600.
  • Help drive shop sales and Gross Profit through effective presentation and closing of repair recommendations.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient front counter while balancing customer, technician, and workflow needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as an Automotive Service Advisor.
  • Strong sales and closing abilities with the ability to present repair recommendations effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence communicating with customers in person and by phone.
  • Strong computer skills; Tekmetric experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Professional, organized, and detail-oriented approach to managing customer communication and shop workflow.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy automotive repair environment while working toward sales and shop-performance goals.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18/hour base pay.
  • 1% Gross Profit commission once monthly sales exceed $80,000.
  • Performance-based advisor commission structure.
  • $50,000+ annual earning potential based on productivity and shop performance; actual earnings are not guaranteed.
