The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the tire shop floor, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional customer service, workplace safety, and highquality workmanship. This role supervises technicians, coordinates vehicle service activities, manages shop productivity, and helps drive sales while maintaining company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee daily shop operations and workflow.
Assign work orders and prioritize jobs to maximize efficiency.
Monitor service quality and ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
Coordinate with service advisors and management to maintain smooth operations.
Ensure vehicles are completed on schedule and customers are kept informed of delays.
Team Leadership
Supervise tire technicians and shop personnel.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
Customer Service
Assist customers with service questions and concerns.
Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding tire services, repairs, and recommendations.
Support sales efforts by identifying additional service opportunities.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in automotive tire service or automotive repair.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of tire installation, balancing, alignments, and basic automotive maintenance.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with point-of-sale and shop management software.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work in varying shop temperatures and conditions.
Frequent use of hand and power tools.
