Description of the role:The automotive refinish technician is responsible for performing automotive refinishing and painting work on vehicles brought into the Town & County Auto Body Collision Center. This includes preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish on repaired vehicles.
Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming- Mix paint colors to match vehicle specifications- Apply paint using spray guns and other painting equipment- Ensure proper drying and curing of paint finishes- Inspect finished paint work for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs- Clean and maintain painting equipment and work area
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive refinish technician or similar role- Strong knowledge of automotive paint products, techniques, and tools- Detail-oriented with excellent color matching skills- Basic computer skills for entering work orders and accessing technical information
