Eastern Truck & Accessories is looking for an experienced, motivatedĀ Automotive Parts & Sales SpecialistĀ to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys trucks, Jeeps and/or automotive customization with a strong understanding of aftermarket parts & accessories, knowledge of key brands and product offerings along with a general automotive and service understanding.
The ideal candidate has previous experience in automotive parts, retail sales, service advising, accessory sales, or the automotive aftermarket. This person will work directly with customers to understand their needs, recommend products, prepare quotes, working with vendors to order parts, attend periodic trade shows and work closely with the service team to meet store objectives.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting aftermarket accessories, wheels, tires, suspension systems, performance products, and related automotive products.
- Develop product recommendations based on the customer's vehicle, intended use, budget, and desired appearance or performance.
- Prepare accurate estimates and sales quotes for parts, accessories, wheels, tires, and installation services.
- Identify vehicles and verify correct part fitment using manufacturer catalogs, online databases, and product resources.
- Research products, specifications, availability, pricing, and installation requirements.
- Sell and provide product knowledge for suspension lift and leveling kits, wheels and tires, bumpers, steps, winches, lighting, bed covers, fender flares, skid plates, recovery equipment, exhaust, performance products, and other aftermarket accessories.
- Work with technicians and service teams to ensure the correct parts and products are ordered for each job.
- Communicate with manufacturers and vendors regarding product availability, pricing, shipping, warranties, returns, and technical questions.
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with inventory counts and adjustments.
- Assist with scheduling installations and coordinating parts availability with the shop schedule.
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle information in the company's systems.
- Pursue leads and follow up with customers regarding quotes, orders, scheduled work, and completed projects.
- Identify opportunities to sell additional products or services that provide legitimate value to the customer.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and help generate repeat and referral business.
- Assist with showroom and product displays to keep the sales area clean, organized, and current.
- Stay current on new products, vehicle applications, installation requirements, and trends in the automotive aftermarket.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales and parts area.
- Follow company procedures for purchasing, receiving, inventory, sales, and returns.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous professional experience in automotive parts, sales, service advising, accessory sales, or a related automotive field.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and aftermarket accessories.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately identify vehicle applications and determine product fitment.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn parts catalogs, inventory systems, and vendor websites.
- Ability to research products and compare options from multiple manufacturers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, quotes, orders, and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Preferred:
- Experience working with aftermarket truck, Jeep, and offroad products.
- Experience selling suspension lift and leveling kits.
- Knowledge of aftermarket wheels, tires, and accessories.
- Experience with automotive parts catalogs and electronic parts lookup systems.
- Personal experience building or modifying trucks, Jeeps, or off-road vehicles.
- Previous service advisor or automotive sales experience.
- Existing knowledge of major aftermarket brands and product lines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shop and showroom during the workday.
- Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver automotive parts, wheels, tires, and accessories.
- Ability to safely move products and parts within the shop and inventory areas.
- Ability to work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and vehicle-related activities.
- Availability to assist with periodic trade shows and other events on weekends and nights.
