Automotive Parts Manager – Hermitage, PA

Diehl of Hermitage is seeking an experienced, highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our dealership parts department in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.

We are looking for a motivated automotive professional with strong parts department management, inventory control, OEM parts, wholesale parts, vendor management, and leadership experience.

The ideal candidate knows how to run an efficient, profitable parts department while supporting technicians, Service Advisors, wholesale customers, and dealership operations. Automotive Parts Manager Responsibilities

As the Parts Manager at Diehl of Hermitage, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, performance, profitability, and organization of the dealership parts department.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage daily automotive parts department operations
• Lead, train, motivate, and develop parts department employees
• Maintain appropriate OEM parts inventory levels
• Order and source automotive parts based on dealership demand
• Monitor inventory levels, aging, obsolescence, and turnover
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Conduct regular parts inventory counts and reconciliations
• Manage special-order parts and backorders
• Track incoming orders and ensure timely distribution
• Process returns, credits, and warranty-related parts
• Monitor department sales, gross profit, expenses, and other key performance indicators
• Develop strategies to improve parts department profitability
• Maintain effective relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers
• Support retail and wholesale parts operations
• Work closely with Service Advisors and Automotive Technicians to keep repair orders moving efficiently
• Ensure technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner
• Assist customers with parts questions when necessary
• Maintain accurate pricing and documentation
• Develop and maintain efficient department processes
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe parts department
• Work closely with service and dealership management to achieve overall fixed-operations goals

This position requires someone who can combine automotive parts knowledge with leadership, organization, inventory management, and business skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous Automotive Parts Manager experience preferred
• Dealership parts department experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components
• OEM automotive parts experience
• Parts inventory management experience
• Experience with retail and/or wholesale automotive parts
• Strong leadership and team-management skills
• Ability to monitor departmental financial performance and KPIs
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Vendor and supplier management experience
• Strong computer and dealership software skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Valid driver's license

Experience in automotive dealership parts, OEM parts, fixed operations, wholesale automotive parts, parts inventory management, service department operations, or automotive retail management is highly relevant.
