Parts Counter Representative

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and organize incoming parts orders

• Maintain accurate parts inventory and ensure proper inventory control

• Create and maintain bin locations for new inventory

• Notify customers and internal departments when parts arrive

• Identify and communicate shortages, damages, and order discrepancies

• Process, organize, and stock accessories

• Prepare parts for returns, shipping, and delivery

• Separate and organize orders for multiple dealership locations

• Deliver parts to a secondary dealership location as needed

• Perform light forklift operations and material handling

• Process warranty scrap and related documentation

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations

• Provide professional and responsive service to customers and dealership personnel

• Assist with additional parts department duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts or dealership parts experience is required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory, and parts department operations

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn

• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move parts and other materials as required
