The Parts advisor is responsible for assisting and selling parts to all customers, over the counter, through the service department or on the telephone. Job Duties Include: - Specifying/Filling orders for the Service Department, Phone orders Retail & Wholesale, and on-line Collisionlink/Repairlink Wholesale Orders
- Assists all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Works with service advisors, technicians and external customers to build accurate price quotes.
- Answers phone calls, provides price quotes and other information.
- Refers to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic) to identify the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.
- Handles parts payment collection and makes sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department.
- Assists with daily inventory, receiving, stocking and shipping.
- Tracks all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock.
- Locates available parts when the dealership is out of stock.
- Follows up on back-ordered parts.
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Notifies the service advisor or the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Sets up orders for daily delivery, or pick-up.
- Delivers parts when needed.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
