    Responsibilities

    • Perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, brake, steering, suspension, HVAC, engine, and transmission concerns
    • Complete repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards
    • Use scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment
    • Test-drive vehicles to confirm proper operation
    • Document repairs and communicate findings clearly
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
    • Follow all dealership, manufacturer, OSHA, and EPA guidelines
    • Participate in ongoing technical training

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment
    • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
    • Professional attitude and commitment to quality

    Previous dealership experience, ASE or manufacturer certifications, advanced diagnostic skills, and hybrid or EV experience are preferred but not required for entry-level candidates. Technicians should have a personal set of automotive hand tools appropriate for their experience level.
