Kia of East Hartford is looking for a curious, detail-oriented person to help us decide what used vehicles to buy, what to pay for them and how they can contribute to a profitable inventory.

You should enjoy comparing information, digging into details, and figuring out whether an opportunity makes financial sense. If you like research and explaining the reasoning behind a decision, this role may be a strong fit.

We welcome candidates with little or no experience in the car business. Bring your analytical ability, focus and willingness to learn. We will train you on vehicles and our acquisition process.

 What You'll Do:

• Analyze market data, pricing trends, and inventory performance.
• Source and acquire quality pre-owned vehicles through Facebook, Auto and Shockwave, auctions, trades, and private-party opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend acquisition strategies to maintain optimal stock.
• Evaluate vehicle values using market-based tools and reports.
• Collaborate with Sales, Used Car, and Management teams to align inventory with customer demand.
• Track competitor pricing and local market conditions.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations that support profitability and inventory turn.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with vehicle valuation tools, auctions, and inventory management systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet goals.
