Job Title: Automotive HIL Engineer CarMaker
Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Automotive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer with strong expertise in CarMaker to support the development, integration, and validation of automotive embedded systems. The role involves designing and executing HIL test procedures, developing control algorithms, performing system validation, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HIL test cases using CarMaker.
- Design, implement, and validate chassis control algorithms (brakes, steering, suspension).
- Support MIL, SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level testing.
- Analyze system performance using simulation and data analysis tools.
- Troubleshoot issues, document results, and support software defect resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on requirements, validation, and system integration.
- Support functional safety activities including FMEA, P-Diagrams, and ISO 26262 compliance.
Work Location: Onsite Dearborn, MI
Preferred Skills
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle). Experience with SysML, distributed systems, and automotive control systems. Background in EV/Hybrid vehicle controls is a plus.Required Skills:
BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Hands-on experience with CarMaker (required). Experience with Python, C/C++, and modeling/simulation. Knowledge of HIL, MIL, SIL, embedded controls, and automotive systems. Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and systems engineering methodologies. Understanding of CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication protocols. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Benefits
