We are a growing automotive service company with plans to expand our footprint, add locations, introduce new service offerings, and continue building a strong multi-location organization.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Automotive Manager who wants to play an important role in that growth. This position goes beyond managing the daily operations of our stores. The right individual will help shape how we operate, identify new opportunities, develop our people, introduce strategic service lines, execute growth initiatives, and improve the overall performance of the company.

This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for two-location operation with a focus on expanding to more locations, store matrix growth, staffing, employee development, customer satisfaction, new service development, operational improvement, and financial performance.

As the company grows, we expect this position to grow with it.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Location Leadership & Performance

  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of 2 automotive service locations (more on the way).
  • Maintain a regular onsite presence and work directly with store managers and employees.
  • Drive overall store performance, including revenue, car count, average repair order, labor productivity, customer retention, and profitability.
  • Establish consistent operational standards across all locations.
  • Identify underperforming areas and develop measurable plans for improvement.
  • Ensure stores consistently meet expectations for customer service, quality, safety, cleanliness, productivity, and professionalism.
  • Work with ownership and leadership to establish performance goals and execute strategies to achieve them.

Growth Initiatives & Strategic Service Lines

  • Play an active role in developing and executing the company's short- and long-term growth strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to introduce new strategic automotive service lines that complement our existing business and provide additional value to our customers.
  • Help determine which new services make operational and financial sense based on customer demand, technician capabilities, equipment requirements, margins, and market opportunities.
  • Develop implementation plans for new services, including equipment, staffing, training, pricing, processes, and customer communication.
  • Monitor the performance of new service offerings and make adjustments to improve adoption and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue from existing customers while maintaining a customer-first, trust-based sales approach.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to increase car count, customer retention, average repair order, sales, and profitability.
  • Help create scalable systems and processes that can be replicated as the company adds locations.
  • Participate in evaluating, opening, acquiring, staffing, and integrating future locations.
  • Help identify new market opportunities and operational improvements that support continued company growth.

Staffing & Leadership Development

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and retain high-quality employees.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels across all locations.
  • Train, coach, and develop store managers, technicians, and service employees.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Develop employees for advancement into lead technician, assistant manager, store manager, and multi-location leadership positions.
  • Create training programs that support existing and newly introduced service lines.
  • Build a positive, professional, performance-driven culture where employees have opportunities to grow with the company.
  • Develop a strong leadership pipeline capable of supporting additional locations.

Customer Experience

  • Maintain a strong focus on providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Regularly interact with customers and assist store teams when needed.
  • Address customer questions and concerns quickly, professionally, and fairly.
  • Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and satisfaction trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience across all locations.
  • Ensure employees communicate service recommendations clearly, honestly, and professionally.
  • Build customer trust through transparency, quality workmanship, and consistent service.

Onsite Operations

  • Maintain a visible and active presence at each location.
  • Work alongside store managers to improve workflow, productivity, sales, and customer experience.
  • Conduct routine store inspections and operational reviews.
  • Ensure facilities, equipment, inventory, and service areas are properly maintained.
  • Ensure company safety procedures and automotive service standards are consistently followed.
  • Step in when necessary to support staffing, customer service, workflow, and daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quick lube, automotive repair, tire, or similar automotive operations preferred.
  • Strong business and operational mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proven leadership and employee-development skills.
  • Experience recruiting, training, motivating, and retaining employees.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new automotive services and operational processes.
  • Strong understanding of customer service and conflict resolution.
  • Working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair services.
  • Ability to understand store financials, margins, budgets, and key performance indicators.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Willingness to regularly travel between locations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with an ownership mentality who wants to help build and grow the company.

This is not simply a position focused on maintaining existing stores. We want a leader who is constantly asking:

How can we improve? How can we grow? What services should we add? How can we better serve our customers? How can we develop our people? And how can we make each location more successful?

We want someone who can balance hands-on automotive operations with strategic business thinking.

How Success Will Be Measured

Success in this position will be measured by the individual's ability to positively impact:

  • Overall company and store profitability
  • Same-store sales growth
  • Car count and customer retention
  • Average repair order and service mix
  • Successful implementation of new service lines
  • Identification and execution of growth initiatives
  • Customer satisfaction and online reputation
  • Employee recruitment and retention
  • Employee training and development
  • Operational consistency across locations
  • Successful opening and integration of new locations
  • Safety, service quality, productivity, and store appearance

Grow With Us

We believe the people who help us build the company should have the opportunity to grow with the company.

As we add locations, expand our service offerings, and continue developing the organization, this position has the potential to take on significantly greater operational and leadership responsibility.

We are looking for someone who wants to become a key member of our leadership team and have a meaningful voice in the future direction of the business—including how we operate, where we grow, which services we offer, how we develop our people, and how we improve overall company performance.

If you are an experienced automotive leader with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building teams, improving operations, developing new opportunities, and growing a business, we would like to hear from you.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with performance-based incentive opportunities.

Schedule: Full-time with schedule flexibility and regular travel between locations required.
