Automotive Express Technician

As an Express Technician, you play a vital role in delivering swift and reliable service to our customers. You perform essential maintenance tasks that keep vehicles running smoothly and safely. Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs efficient and accurate Oil Changes, ensuring proper fluid levels and disposal.
• Executes precise Tire Rotation to maximize tire life and vehicle performance.
• Conducts thorough Multi-Point Inspection to identify potential maintenance or repair needs.
• Completes comprehensive Fluid Checks and tops off or replaces as necessary.
• Performs timely Filter Replacement for air, cabin, and fuel systems.
• Carries out detailed Brake Inspection to assess component wear and safety.
• Conducts accurate Battery Testing and recommends appropriate service or replacement.
• Contributes to overall Automotive Maintenance by identifying and reporting additional service needs.
• Adheres strictly to all Shop Safety protocols and procedures.
• Utilizes a variety of Automotive Tools effectively and safely to complete tasks.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicates findings clearly and professionally to service advisors.

Required Qualifications

• Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of an automotive vocational program or technical training is a plus.

• Experience

• Previous experience in an express service bay or similar fast-paced automotive environment.

• Proven ability to perform basic automotive maintenance tasks.

• Knowledge/Skills

• Demonstrates proficiency in performing Oil Changes, Tire Rotation, and Multi-Point Inspection.

• Possesses a strong understanding of Fluid Checks and Filter Replacement.

• Exhibits knowledge of Brake Inspection and Battery Testing procedures.

• Understands fundamental principles of Automotive Maintenance.

• Applies excellent Shop Safety practices at all times.

• Proficiently uses standard Automotive Tools and equipment.

• Works efficiently and effectively in a team-oriented setting.

• Maintains a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications (e.g., A1, A4, A5).

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

• Regularly stands, walks, bends, and stoops for extended periods.

• Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Works in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.

• Requires manual dexterity and good visual acuity.
