McCloskey Appearance Center is a fast-growing auto cosmetic repair company based in Colorado Springs. Our business is booming and we’re looking for an experienced Detail Shop Manager to lead our team and oversee our detailing operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to take ownership of a facility focused on interior and exterior detailing, reconditioning, and vehicle appearance work.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Detail department, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
- Prepare and present accurate quotes for detailing and cosmetic reconditioning work.
- Mentor and grow detail technicians through hands-on coaching and training.
- Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified team members.
- Ensure quality control and timely completion of all detail work.
- Assist with payroll preparation, invoicing, and final billing.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize profitability on supplies and equipment.
- Approve sublet/outside vendor invoices as needed.
- Monitor gross profit opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
- Perform quality checks on completed jobs to ensure customer satisfaction and brand standards.
- Maintain safety standards and a professional work environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of management experience in a Detail Shop, Body Shop, or Automotive Dealership.
- Proven ability to quote and manage detail/reconditioning work.
- Strong knowledge of detailing processes, products, techniques, and materials (interior/exterior detailing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, etc.).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Clean background check.
