    Confidential Automotive Dealership | MARIN, CA

    $35–$40 Per Hour DOE | Full-Time

    EXPERIENCED DEALERSHIP PAYROLL PROFESSIONAL WANTED

    A well-established automotive dealership organization in the North Bay is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Automotive Dealership Payroll Administrator to join its accounting team.

    This is a high-volume payroll position responsible for processing payroll for approximately 170 employees.

    AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP PAYROLL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

    We are looking for someone who understands the unique complexities of dealership payroll, including commissions, bonuses, hourly employees, technicians, flat-rate compensation, deductions, benefits, and payroll reporting.

    COMPENSATION

    $35–$40 per hour DOE

    Compensation will be based on automotive dealership payroll experience, system knowledge, and overall qualifications.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    As the Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for approximately 170 dealership employees.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Process accurate and timely payroll for approximately 170 employees

    • Review and verify employee hours, commissions, bonuses, incentives, and other compensation

    • Process payroll for hourly, salaried, commissioned, and flat-rate employees

    • Maintain accurate employee payroll records

    • Process new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and other payroll updates

    • Review timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing

    • Process garnishments, deductions, benefits, PTO, and other payroll-related items

    • Maintain accurate payroll data within Paylocity

    • Work with dealership employee and payroll information within Tekion

    • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions

    • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations

    • Maintain accurate employee files and documentation

    • Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal and California requirements

    • Partner with Accounting, Human Resources, department managers, and dealership leadership

    • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll information

    • Assist with payroll audits and year-end payroll processes as needed

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    Automotive dealership payroll experience is REQUIRED.

    Candidates should have:

    • Previous payroll experience within an automotive dealership or dealership group

    • Experience processing payroll for a large employee population

    • Ability to confidently handle payroll for approximately 170 employees

    • Strong knowledge of dealership compensation structures, including commissions, bonuses, hourly pay, and technician/flat-rate pay

    • Experience with Paylocity

    • Experience with Tekion

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

    • Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines

    • Strong understanding of confidential employee and payroll information

    • Ability to research and resolve payroll discrepancies independently

    • Professional communication skills

    SYSTEM EXPERIENCE

    Paylocity experience strongly preferred

    Tekion experience strongly preferred

    Previous automotive dealership payroll experience is a must.
